Coronavirus restrictions have touched every part of our lives—including dating and relationships. Apps like Tinder, Hinge, and #Open are all designed to help people meet and find love. Unfortunately, it would be incredibly irresponsible to go on a date right now, even if you remain six feet apart at all times.
Recently, Hinge told its users to date from the comfort of their home—and that this could be a good time to change their distance settings.
Tinder has also recently posted on their blog, Swipe Life, advising users to keep their relationships online for the time being. The blog advised starting an online book club, having a Netflix party, or scheduling a FaceTime dinner date instead of meeting in person.
The dating app #Open is also telling its users to keep their dating lives virtual. "It feels like apps that do what we do have a responsibility to be direct and straightforward with their users: Now is not the time to be making new connections," #Open co-founder David Epstein told Newsweek.
