For many in and outside of America, the mystique of the Greek system in universities is an enduring fascination. The secret world of sororities, frat houses, pledging, and loyalty seems like an encapsulation of the systems of power that dominate the world.

It’s also, of course, full of parties and boozing that is far less shadowy to outsiders. Still, it makes for a great backdrop for a classic college romance! Here are eight romance novels that feature Greek college drama and love.

The chance to pledge to a sorority is a lifelong dream for Taylor, but now, she's stuck in Kappa Chi, a house of mean girls who have issued her a terrifying challenge: to seduce the hottest new hockey player in the junior class. Conor Edwards is a regular at Greek Row parties, and a total playboy who's been in the beds of many a sorority sister. When Taylor asks him to help her out with her bet, he surprises himself by saying "yes" and agreeing to some fake action. That should have been the end of it, but now, Conor wants to keep pretending. It's just some fun and games, a way for them both to mock the Kappa Chi girls. But the longer the ruse goes on, the closer they grow, and the more they risk ruining everything by falling in love.

Ginger Carmichael doesn't want any drama. She's at college to maintain her perfect GPA, not get involved in sorority nonsense. But there's something about the girls of Alpha Beta Omega she can't ignore.

They're all beautiful, confident, and unashamed in their pursuit of pleasure. Ginger cannot help but want to pledge. The initiation process is, to put it mildly, unique.
